"As long as we have Deaf people on Earth, we will have signs...
our beautiful Sign Language is the noblest gift God has given to
Deaf people."

Deaf connect: a new peer support service
Deaf Connect is a new peer support service that allows Deaf individuals to connect with other members of the Deaf community, as well as to share and learn from their common experiences. While being Deaf can mean enduring unique challenges and barriers, we believe recovery is possible through collective, community-focused healing.
Offered in ASL (American Sign Language), Deaf Connect recognizes and validates the unique struggles that Deaf people face. The goal of this program is to bring the Deaf community together, reduce isolation and enhance our clients' quality of life in an authentic and welcoming way.
Connect with a trained Peer Support Worker
With Deaf Connect, you'll have access to our Peer Support Worker, who has completed training through CHANNAL, a local mental health and peer support organization.
The Peer Support Worker has lived experience as a member of the Deaf community and is willing to share their experiences for the benefit of those they work with.
As they build connections through one-on-one and group sessions, the Peer Support Worker leads with compassion and care. This allows them to offer advocacy, social connection, and emotional support for their clients, all while nurturing confidence and independence.
By sharing their own stories and guiding their sessions through trauma-informed and harm reduction practices, the Peer Support Worker helps our clients live their best lives.
Everyone deserves to be seen
We've developed Deaf Connect because we believe that the Deaf community deserves to be seen and recognized-to have access to support and recovery services in a language they understand with people who understand them.
Deaf Connect creates a safe space in which clients can be their authentic selves, without barriers-which is the foundation for self-discovery as you navigate your wellness journey.
