Community Support Services



NLAD is pleased to announce that we have received funding that will be used to provide Community Support Services.


NLAD has hired Megan McGie as our Community Support Worker. The Community Support Worker is responsible for providing services to Deaf adults who use American Sign Language (ASL) and supporting Deaf adults as a member of the Deaf community.


The Deaf Adults Services Program includes providing assistance for each of the following:



  • General Support Services
  • Housing & Shelter
  • Financial Supports
  • Services for Seniors
  • Addiction Referral Services
  • Educational Workshops
  • Health & Hygiene
  • Food Bank
  • Home Visits
  • Life Skills
  • VRS
